BTE Stables provides dedicated, individualized programs for every horse in our care.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Bourbon County, the current site of BTE Stables has a rich and storied history long before its latest chapter as BTE Stables. Under its original ownership, Golden Chance Farm spanned over 600 acres, and was home to such racehorses as 1970 Kentucky Derby winner Dust Commander, champion and Hall of Famer John Henry, graded stakes winner Run Dusty Run, and Preakness Stakes winner Master Derby.
On the banks of Stoner Creek, the farm boasts such illustrious neighbors as Godolphin’s Stonerside Farm, Coolmore’s Creekview Farm, Claiborne Farm, and Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa. The rolling hills and rich soils have long been revered by some of the greatest horsemen in the world as the best place to raise a racehorse.
