“Maze” has been living out 24/7 since retiring from the track, in our broodmare herd. She has been given this year to let down from the track (and get fat). After 11 months off, she had her first post track ride this week and will continue light retraining while maintaining RRP Eligibility. Maze has a solid foundation with three lovely gaits. Despite the year off, she is willing to work and seems to enjoy having a job. With her balanced conformation and workman like attitude, Maze will excel quickly in a program.
We are not set up to allow for test rides but would possibly consider a local trial to someone we know at a trusted facility. Interested parties are welcome to meet her at the farm (Paris, KY).
Maze has always done best in a routine, and enjoys having a job. She is extremely smart (sometimes too smart) and competitive. I think she could thrive in most disciplines, as long as she has the right partner. She very quickly figures out what is being asked of her in new situations, and remembers what she has been taught. She is a very agile mare that is quick on her feet and deliberate in her actions.
Despite her small size, she is a solidly built mare and takes up a lot of leg. She is well balanced and correct, and never had any surgeries. We have owned her since she was 5 months old, and can answer most questions about her. She stands well for bathing and the farrier. She has been barefoot for the last year, and her feet are in excellent condition. She is in the middle of the pecking order in her field, with a large herd of mares, but will challenge others (hence some bite marks).
Maze was our first pinhook purchase, first racehorse, first winner, and is literally part of our farm logo. The right home is the number 1 priority. Resellers welcome, but preference will be given to a longer term resale situation (like after the Makeover). BTE Stables will reimburse up to $500 towards final entry fees in the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover.

Beast has been officially retired from racing and is ready to tackle a new career! He is currently being offered for sale before being fully restarted. If he does not sell by the end of the month he will head to baby boot camp (and his price will increase).
Beast came back to the farm shortly after his last race and has been given a few weeks to hang out and be a horse. He had his first post track ride this week, and will continue light retraining while maintaining RRP eligibility. He is respectful of aids and aims to please when a question is presented to him under saddle. He understands the beginnings of moving off of leg and seat and is a fast learner. Fancy enough to turn heads on the flat and athletic enough to jump clean, he could go in any direction and excel.
We are not set up to allow for test rides but would possibly consider a local trial to someone we know at a trusted facility. Interested parties are welcome to meet him at the farm (Paris, KY).
Beast enjoyed training while at the track and is eager to please, once he knows what is being asked of him. He was only gelded 2 months ago, but he is not studdish (though he still finds mares a little *extra pretty*). He was properly started under saddle at two and regularly trained at 3 on a hilly grass gallop, so he has a strong foundation despite limited retraining.
He was in training at 2 but hit a growth spurt and came back to the farm for a break in the summer of his two year old year. He did not have any setbacks due to injuries. He resumed training in the fall and made his first start at 3 (which he won!). He ran 4 more times and made it clear he was no longer mentally interested in being a racehorse and we decided to retire him and find him a job that he enjoys more. He immediately settled back into life on the farm and has been turned out full time (blanketed as necessary). He stands well for bathing and the farrier, and leads off the UTV. He has been barefoot since returning to the farm with no issues and his feet are in good condition. He has not been turned back out with other horses, through no fault of his own, but previously has been in the middle of the pecking order when out with other geldings (last summer).
He is 16.2 already and still growing and filling out. He is exceptionally well built and correct, and has always been an extremely athletic horse. Beast is our very first homebred and we have owned him his entire life, so we can answer any questions about his life.
Beast is the first homebred we kept to race, and our first winners circle photo. The right home is the number 1 priority. Resellers welcome, but preference will be given to a longer term resale situation (like after the Makeover). BTE Stables will reimburse up to $500 towards final entry fees in the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover.
